原住民元素的設計獨特性

花生騷有特殊的設計美學為「圖騰重組美學」,將古老圖騰拆解,運用現代及西方美學手法重新組合,呈現既傳統又現代的美感。每件商品都有獨一無二的圖案,市場上絕對沒有相同類型的設計。台灣的原住民已正名的有16個族群,加上還沒正名的族群,各個文化傳統及生活型態都不盡相同且個有特色,原住民文化在台灣有著舉足輕重的地位。花生騷團隊大部分都是原住民身分,有阿美族跟太魯閣族。因為這層民族性的關係,我們更積極的去截取及吸收現今原住民族傳統文化及生活型態裡元素,並加以轉化現代的手法來表現在服裝上。

圖騰是現今時尚流行界一直應用的元素。走進H&M及ZARA都看得見圖騰元素的應用,但是都只是流於形式上的美感表現。近幾個月前,花生騷有去台灣東部的原住民部落做些探訪,跟當地人聊天才發現圖騰都是有意義的,包括日月星辰、象徵祖先眼睛的菱形、百步蛇、波浪…等等,它代表的不僅僅是部落的生活型態、自然現象,也代表著部落時代的演進。為什麼不能把這些有意義的圖騰應用在流行服飾上呢?而只是流於形式的幾何圖形。花生騷決定將這些圖騰建個資料庫,並抽取其中的元素轉化為圖像,將之應用在我們的服裝及其他商品上,原住民圖騰由大面積運用轉為畫龍點睛,精準地與主流時尚結合。

One and only design for the elements of aboriginal

“Totem restructuring aesthetics” is a unique design technique that is created by WasangShow. They disassemble ancient totems first, and then recombine them with both modern and western aesthetics techniques, presenting both traditional and modern beauty. Each item has its own unique pattern, and there are definitely no identical designs out there. Aboriginal culture plays a veryIMPORTANT role in Taiwan. Currently, there are 16 named aboriginal tribes and with those yet to be named tribes together, they all live with various traditional cultures and different life styles. Most of the WasangShow team members are aboriginals from Amis and Truku. Because of this ethnic relation between members, they are more actively intercepting and absorbing the elements of aboriginal traditional cultures and lifestyles, and they convert those elements with a modern approach into designing apparels.

Appearance, uniqueness, cultural, narrative –Aboriginal related Merchandise

Totem is an element that has been wildly applied onto today’sFASHION industry. When you walk in to H&M and ZARA, you can see the element of totem being used, but it is merely just following the trend of beauty. A few months ago, WasangShow paid a visit to aboriginal tribes in the east of Taiwan to study totems. They learned that each totem has its own meaning and story behind it by talking to the locals, including sun, moon, starts, rhombus is a symbols of eyes of ancestors, viper, wave, etc. They represent more than just a lifestyle in the tribe or natural phenomena, but also represent the evolution of the tribe. WasangShow ask themselves why we cannot apply these meaningful totems onto apparels? Why just present it as a formality of geometry. WasangShow decided to build a database for totems, extracting elements and turning them into images, and then apply onto apparels and other merchandise. Aboriginal totems have evolved from being excessively used to arts with souls and is combined with mainstream fashion precisely.
